I thought I'd share with others how I came about to the "religion" I am with. Actually, it's not really a "religion" at all. If you think about it being "New Age" is not really considered a religion, it's a collection of ideas and beliefs of personal faith and spirituality. It takes parts of other religions and puts them in a collection of your own thoughts and values.

For me, I am a believer in God, though I do not see Him as would the Christian faith see Him. I am not a believer in the Bible, or other so-called religious books, doctrines, or scripts. I believe Faith lies in the person, in the heart and soul of each individual. That we are our best judge of ourselves, and we don't need some other person to tell us how to think, how to react, or live our lives.

For me (strictly my opinion here) the Bible is too restraining in the fact that it sets limitations. How it talks about how God favored one over another. How He loves but then punishes man for how they are. It talks about a supposed history, and a supposed future of mankind. But really, for me, it's more of a control device to limit the ideas and possibilities of man. (Now I have never read the entire Bible, but I have read enough to make me cringe and shake my head.)

A little bit of my history..
My father was born under a Catholic family, though he never practice it.. he was a wild teen. My mother was a Baptist, and when they married my father converted over to Baptism and went to church. They never forced church on me, but I did go when I was little. We lived in Tennessee and I went to Sunday School with friends. When we made the move to Iowa, I tried again to go to Sunday School, but it didn't last. I was only 9 at the time. My parents never pushed me, and I was never Baptized, they left that up to me.

Several years ago, I started on a spiritual journey. I've continued on this path, and I keep learning new things. This has given me the freedom to experience spirituality in a way I never would have been able to experience had it not been for my parents "gift" to me. They have been most understanding, and that is a gift in itself.

So that, folks, is my little story. But there is a lot more under the surface, perhaps I will make another blog about it in the future. For now, this is all you get.

I want to thank everyone who stopped by my profile and wished me a Happy Birthday on the 5th of August. I was really flattered to have so many well wishers. I am sorry it took me so long to check out my dA account. It's been crazily busy lately. The summer usually brings that out. I had a blast on my birthday, as I celebrated my special day with my mom because it was her birthday as well. Yep, I was born on her 21st birthday. I was the best birthday gift she could ever get.. or at least I think so! lol

Thank you again everyone for stopping by. I appreciate it with all my heart. I hope within the next month or so I will be putting up more pictures, perhaps focusing more on Senior pictures, and with my class reunion coming up in September and then the Madison County Covered Bridge Festival in the second weekend of October. It's going to be a great, but busy! lol

Wow, so much has happened over the last four months. It's been crazy! But I won't bore you with the details, if y'all have been following me on my facebook (follow me on twitter too!) then you'll see how crazy things have been. But that's not why I'm here now. Yes, I know the lack of photos have left you ... I would like to think .. empty handed. But I know better, you little monsters, you! Alright on to some juicy business!

First up: Senior Pictures and Senior Announcements. These were taken over the course of last fall. My aunt and I took some photos of my sister, my cousin (her nephew), and my other cousin (her step-daughter). I then I went to Picnik, Paint Shop Pro and PhotoShop CS v.2, and did some fancy work. Results are in the gallery. So that's what I've been up to.

Photography as a business venture?
Hm, not saying right now, but it's a possibility. I've actually written up a contract and stuff like that. Nothing professional and all that, but something I might consider in doing for a little moo-la!

And on a final note I want to send out LOVE to a very sweet devaint named ~deviantdon5869 for buying me a year subscription! He's the bestest! Much love to you sweetie!! Please see his page, and give him some lovin! He's going to build my car some day! lol

Oh wow! I haven't submitted a journal since August, or updated my gallery since September. I haven't been able to reply to all the favorites that keep adding up as I am not on dA as much anymore. But that's not to say that I'm not looking at them, and appreciating them all! I am!

Thank you x's 1000000000000000+! You guys are truly amazing! I have still continued to do photography, I have actually taken my sisters and cousin's senior pictures and have edited some of them as well. You will see some of my sister's in my gallery.

Thank you everyone for leaving faves and comments, they mean so much. I wish I could thank everyone that has faved a piece of art, but time wise I can't. Just know that I appreciate everything! If it wasn't for you guys, this whole experience, and my learning, would not be rocking!

A few weekends ago my aunt and I went out and took photos of my sister for her senior year. I've got a few of them up. I will say that it was a blast taking a day to shoot and hanging out with them and my cousin. I've been trying to work on more, to put on here, and to see which ones we like the best. I'm waiting for it to turn fall to take some pictures with all the different colors.

I've been busy with work, and trying to balance out everything. I've been sitting myself down to write more, and of course keep up-to-date on the Twilight Saga and up-coming movie! I'm extremely excited!
